Shelton Man Accused of Stalking Former Fiancee in Fairfield
The man had been warned by police to have no contact with the woman.

A Shelton man was arrested for allegedly stalking his former fiancée in Fairfield about 30 minutes after police had warned him to have no contact with her, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
The Citizen reports that Filipe M. Monteiro, 34, of White Oak Road in Shelton, was charged after his former girlfriend observed him following her in his car and she drove to Fairfield Police headquarters to file a complaint.

Police then called Monteiro to warn him to have no contact with her or face arrest, which he said he understood, but when she arrived home she saw him in the street near her house waving at her, according to the Citizen.
