State Representative Sarah Keitt Delivers for Fairfield
Dwight Reimbursement is a Promise Kept

State Representative Sarah Keitt is many things - an advocate, a mother, a legislator, a collaborator, and a leader. As a leader and collaborator, she prioritizes her constituents in everything she does in Hartford. And, she has used her experience and skills to represent us in a way that has earned her the respect of her colleagues, and the ability to deliver substantial financial investments from Hartford back into our community.
Three years ago, Sarah promised district residents that she’d fight to ensure Dwight School families had a healthy, safe, and state-of-the-art learning environment. She worked with local and state officials and helped secure a 75% reimbursement rate from the project costs from the state, saving the town $44 million. She made a promise to our community, and she delivered. This is one of many ways that Sarah has served our community during her time as our representative.
As someone living with multiple sclerosis (MS), Sarah has a personal perspective on living with a disability, and is passionate about improving accessibility and providing inclusive spaces for everyone. She was instrumental in obtaining $2.5 million from the State Bond Commission for the Adaptive Recreation Center in Fairfield. The center is about 6,000 square feet, and will serve people of all ages with different types of disabilities.
Aside from these two specific projects, Sarah helped direct municipal funding and an additional $136,682 in Education Cost-Sharing Funds to Fairfield in this year’s state budget.
Bringing this money back to Fairfield is an accomplishment. It’s the result of being represented by someone who understands our community’s needs, and has the skills and work ethic to collaborate and navigate the legislative process to get results. Every dollar coming back to Fairfield is a dollar that won’t be added to our property taxes.
Please join me in voting to re-elect State Representative Sarah Keitt this November.
