State Shuts Down Bar from Massive Underage Drinking Raid
A Sacred Heart University student who told police she was raped allegedly met the attacker at the Bridgeport bar.

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The Golden Star Café in Bridgeport, the site involved in the alleged rape of a 19-year-old Sacred Heart University student and a massive underage drinking raid, has been shut down by the state Department of Consumer Protection.
In a sign posted at the Main Street bar, the department stated it took the emergency action of closing the bar for reasons of public health, safety and welfare, reports the Connecticut Post.
Technically, the bar's operating permit has been suspended, but when or if the bar will reopen is not immediately known.

The female student who told police she was sexually assaulted met the alleged assailant, Alfonso Reid, 39, at the bar on March 30.
Reid has prior convictions for attempted murder, assault and gun possession, and he has been charged with first-degree Sexual Assault. He is being held on a $750,000 bond and is next scheduled to appear in court on April 19.

Almost a week later on April 5, authorities raided the bar and cited 85 Sacred Heart students for underage drinking.
Additionally, the bar's owner, Gregory Kapetaneas, also was cited for violations.
