FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield Public Schools will have a two-hour delayed opening on Tuesday, Jan. 27, as the community and rest of the state dig out after Sunday's major snow storm, Superintendent of Schools Michael Testani announced.

Fairfield received at least a foot of snow on Sunday and early Monday, which led to the closing of schools and Town Hall on Monday.

"Fairfield Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2026, to ensure safe travel for students, families, and staff," Testani wrote in a message to the school community. "All before-school programs and activities will be canceled. There will be no AM PreK.
