All-Conference Musicians awarded in Farmington, CT

Student musicians are awarded as CT All-Conference Musicians

The Middle School Music Festival is sponsored by the Connecticut Music Education Association annually to award students in grades 6-9 who are exemplary musicians. Each student auditions individually as a soloist demonstrating their musicianship skills through the performance of scales, sight-reading and solo technique. This year the auditions were held at King Phillip Middle School in West Hartford, CT. The music festival will take place on March 23rd and 24th at Wethersfield High School auditorium.

The following musicians from West Woods Upper Elementary School have been selected for the Northern Regional Middle School Music Festival this year.

At Irving A. Robbins Middle School, musicians were selected from the seventh and eighth grade for the Northern Regional Middle School Music Festival.

The Farmington Public Schools Music Program was awarded as the CAAA Exemplary Music Education Program by the Connecticut Arts Administrators Association and Farmington was selected by NAMM as one of the Best Communities for Music Education.
