Bryant University, Smithfield RI

  • Inspired to excel, 788 members of Bryant University's Class of 2018 were awarded a Bryant degree at the University's 155th Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 18. Graduates will join a powerful, network of 45,000 alumni who have distinguished themselves as leaders in their organizations and communities around the world. Ryan Ericson of Farmington graduated with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration degree in Marketing. Nolan Glenn of Unionville graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration degree in Finance.

Husson University, Bangor ME

  • Farmington resident Michael Christopher Popolizio has been named to Husson University's Honors List for the spring 2018 semester. Popolizio is a sophomore who is currently enrolled in Husson's Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology-Human Movement Science/Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. Students who make the Honors List must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of 3.4 to 3.59 during the period.

Muhlenberg College, Allentown PA

  • Muhlenberg College held its 170th baccalaureate and commencement ceremonies on May 17 and 18. A total of 519 degrees were awarded to 511 students, and 267 students in the Class of 2018 graduated with honors and distinctions. Delaney Wilbur of Farmington graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and a minor in Dance.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

  • Select students have been named to the spring 2018 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester. Honorees from Farmington are Jessica Colwick and Skyler Moncada.

Tufts University, Medford MA

  • More than 3,700 students graduated from Tufts University on May 20 during a university-wide commencement ceremony that featured the awarding of honorary degrees to a number of academic, business and civic leaders making a positive impact on the world. The graduates from the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Engineering included Edmund Takata of Farmington, with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering (BSBME) Magna Cum Laude, and Katelyn Mihalek of Farmington, with a Bachelor's degree in Biology (BS).
  • Tufts University recently announced the dean's list for the spring 2018 semester. Among students earning dean's list honors were Nivedita Nath, Luke Steele and Edmund Takata, all of Farmington. Dean's list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.
