Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT
- Eastern Connecticut State University student Michael Tuttle of Farmington has been accepted into Eastern's University Honors program. Tuttle, who's majoring in Psychology and Mathematics, is one of a select number of academically talented students being offered an opportunity to excel in areas above and beyond the traditional student curriculum. Students in the Honors Program also participate in the Honors Club, which provides opportunities for social, cultural, and educational interaction among members of the University Honors program, as well as interaction between the program and the campus community. For many students, this social aspect has been the key to their success in college.
Wesleyan University, Middletown CT

- Wesleyan University student-athlete Julia Meehan of Farmington was named to the 2018 NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team, as announced by the conference on Nov. 28. In order to earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a minimum GPA of 3.50 or equivalent on a 4.0 scale.
