Campus Notes - Farmington College Students

FARMINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Goodwin College, East Hartford CT

• Goodwin College's President's List for the summer 2017 session includes 225 students, all of whom scored a perfect 4.0 GPA. Among those were Farmington residents Sandra Fonseca, Kendra Pulaski, Jillian Searle and Erica Talareva.
• Goodwin College announces that 731 students achieved Dean's List status for the summer 2017 session. Honorees from Farmington were Rachael Baribeault, Sierra Collazo, Sandra Fonseca, Jacqueline Josey, Kendra Pulaski, Jillian Searle and Erica Talareva. Dean's List inclusion requires a student to earn a minimum 3.5 GPA, the equivalent of an A- average, during a given academic session. The student must also be enrolled in a minimum of six academic credits to qualify.

SUNY Potsdam, Potsdam NY

• The State University of New York at Potsdam has awarded scholarships, grants and awards to 1,071 students for the 2017-18 academic year. These accomplished SUNY Potsdam undergraduate and graduate students were recognized for their achievements with support for their educational experience. The scholarship recipients included Amanda Butland of Farmington, whose major is Art Education (Dual Certification Program with St. Lawrence University). Butland received the Ramage Art History Travel Award and the William & Helen Gambling Award.
