Curry College, Milton MA
- Curry College is proud to announce that Tristan Morin of Unionville has been inducted into Beta Beta Beta (Tri-Beta), the honor society for Biology. In order to qualify for Tri-Beta, a student must be a biology major who has taken at least three semesters of biology courses at Curry with a minimum 3.0 GPA in those courses, as well as a minimum 3.0 GPA overall. Tristan is one of fifteen that have been inducted into this honor society.

- Forty-three students from Eastern Connecticut State University traveled to Georgia on April 11-13 to present original research at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR). The 2019 conference occurred at Kennesaw State University and featured hundreds of undergraduate students from across the country. Among the presenters was Michael Tuttle of Farmington, who majors in Psychology and Mathematics. Tuttle presented a poster presentation titled "Overconfidence And Impulsivity Of College Students In A Cognitive Reflection Task."
Tunxis Community College, Farmington CT
- Tunxis Community College student Giselle Koo of Farmington has been selected to travel to NASA’s Langley Research Center this spring to participate in the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) onsite experience. Koo, an engineering science major who will graduate this spring, has been selected as one of 403 community college students from across the U.S. to be part of the NCAS onsite experience. The five-week online activity culminates with a four-day on-site event at a NASA Center and offers students the opportunity to interact with NASA engineers and others as they learn more about careers in science and engineering. While at NASA, students form teams and establish fictional companies interested in Mars exploration. Each team is responsible for developing and testing a prototype rover, forming a company infrastructure, managing a budget, and developing communications and outreach.
