Boateater Race

Canoeists and kayakers at the intermediate level or above are invited to compete in a 5.5-miles race on the Farmington River, starting at the fishing access point in Burlington below the Collinsville Dam.

The course includes several miles of quickwater and class II rapids, some flatwater, a ledgy descent culminating in the infamous Boateater rapid and a sprint to the finish. The course will finish downstream in Farmington by the Little League fields.

Awards for various age and skill levels will be handed out afterward at the Wood N Tap in Farmington.

Registration will also be open between 9 and 10:30 a.m. the day of the race, or may be completed online. The cost of the race is $10 per paddler plus $5 event membership for participants who are not members of the American Canoe Association.
