Ex-Farmington Town Councilman Arrested In Teen Sex Case
A former Farmington councilman is accused of forging a sexual relationship with a teen girl that originated online before turning physical.

FARMINGTON, CT — A former member of the Farmington Town Council who resigned in January amid an investigation by Newington police into an alleged sexual relationship with a teenage girl was arrested Friday in connection with the case.
Johnathan Landry, 42, was charged with second-degree harassment and interfering with an officer, both misdemeanors. He was released on a $5,000 nonsurety bond, and is scheduled to appear July 20 in New Britain Superior Court.
A 15-page affidavit supporting Landry's arrest, obtained and highlighted by the Hartford Courant, indicates he began an online relationship in 2008 with a then-12-year-old girl, which became intimate upon her reaching age 16, the age of consent in Connecticut.

Landry, under the alias "Jason Davis," is accused of threatening to publish compromising photos of the girl on the Internet when she attempted to end their relationship in July 2017. He received the interfering charge by not revealing his actual identity to the investigating officer, the Courant reported.
