Farmington Penguin Plunge Event Will Benefit Special Olympics

Fundraiser to take place on February 10th

Sign up and jump in to support Special Olympics Connecticut at its annual Farmington Penguin Plunge! The Penguin Plunge - which gives participants the cool opportunity to team up with others in their community to raise money for Special Olympics, dress up in creative costumes and jump into the icy waters while a crowd cheers them on - will take place on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Winding Trails. On the day of the event, check-in will begin at 8 a.m. and the Plunge will take place at 10 a.m. Winding Trails is located at 50 Winding Trails in Farmington. Those who preregister receive a free t-shirt and can raise funds online to earn great incentive prizes.

In addition to the chilling, thrilling plunge into icy waters, event highlights will include a “Cool School Challenge”, music, refreshments, surprise guests, a parade of plungers and an awards ceremony. To join in the fun, participants must raise a minimum of $100 and be at least eight years old. Prefer not to plunge? Spectators are welcome and donations to support a participant and Special Olympics’ athletes of all abilities may be made at soct.org.
