Brennan William Halscheid, 25, of Massaco Street, Simsbury, was charged with risk of injury to a child at 11:07 a.m. He was to appear in court Oct. 7.

Melvin Gabriel Rodriguez, 23, of Farmington Avenue, New Britain, was charged with failure to drive in the proper lane and illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs at 6:24 a.m. He will appear in court Oct. 16.
Oct. 6
William Paul Staron, 48, of Dunham Street, Southington, was charged with failure to drive in the proper lane; illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs; and operating a motor vehicle with a hand-held electronic device at midnight. He will appear in court Oct. 16.
Oct. 7
David Kenroy Gordon, 55, of Catherine Avenue, Waterbury, was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and two counts of physical threatening at 8:52 p.m. He was to appear in court Oct. 8.

Crystal Andrea Welch, 27, of Douglas Street, Hartford, was charged with second-degree breach of peace at 1:19 p.m. She will appear in court Oct. 16.
Oct. 9
Heriberto Valentin, 28, of Glen Street, New Britain, was charged with speeding; failure to drive in the proper lane; improper use of marker/registration plates; operating an unregistered motor vehicle; operating a motor vehicle without a license; violation of traffic control signals; reckless driving; and second-degree reckless endangerment at 12:48 a.m. He will appear in court Oct. 16.
