Farmington Scholarship Honors Longtime Ex-Town Manager

FARMINGTON, CT — A special scholarship in the memory of a longtime Farmington town manager is available for resident students looking to work in public service.

The Town of Farmington this week announced applications are being accepted for the 2023 Stephen A. Flis Scholarship.

Flis served as Farmington’s town manager from 1955-85.

The scholarship seeks to provide financial assistance to Farmington residents seeking a graduate and/or undergraduate degree in public administration or public service.

Town of Farmington students who are interested in applying should download the application below, or contact the town manager's office at 860-675-2350, for more information or with questions.

Applications will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on April 1.
