Special Programs Get Needed Funding In Farmington
The grants were announced at the beginning of the school year.

FARMINGTON, CT — Several schools in Farmington received specialized grant dollars to help further their education goals, according to an announcement at the start of the school year.
"As the new school year begins, we're pleased to share details with you about how your contributions continue to support innovative educational programs in the Farmington Public Schools," reads the announcement on the school system's website.
The following programs will be funded for the 2022-23 school year:

• West District Elementary School was awarded a $5,279 grant for "Together We
Climb."
This is a program that encourages both social interactions and physical education development, especially strengthening the body's core areas.

• Farmington High School was awarded a $2,472 grant for Unified Music Pilot.
This is a special education program aimed at teaching music to special needs pupils, allowing these pupils to enjoy the benefits and appreciated of what music can offer.
• East Farms Elementary School was awarded a $1,144 grant for "Self-Regulation through Sensory Breaks: Solving Conflicts."
This program helps pupils gain more self-control, identify their emotions and develop academic skills in the process.
