Farmington Woman To Head Large Mall's Marketing Efforts

She is a former local television station executive who has been in marketing for two decades.

FARMINGTON/WEST HARTFORD, CT — One of Connecticut's largest and busiest shopping malls announced Monday the hiring of a new official to oversee marketing efforts.

The Westfarms Mall, which is in West Hartford and Farmington, announced Monday that Barbarajean Marshall of Farmington has been named marketing and sponsorship director of Westfarms.

“I am thrilled to join the exceptional Westfarms team and build upon the center’s successful momentum in the Connecticut market,” said Marshall. “The opportunities for advertising and activation at the shopping center are truly dynamic. I look forward to providing these non-traditional advertising solutions to regional companies while delivering a unique shopping experience for our customers and tenants.”

Marshall will oversee Westfarms corporate accounts and advertising deliverables to reach Westfarms' built-in shopper audience.

She will also create and oversee the center’s marketing and advertising plan to continue to attract customers and traffic to the retail destination.

Marshall has 20 years of professional marketing experience in the role.

Most recently, she served as a multi-media sales executive with FOX61 and CW20 and developed and managed integrated marketing campaigns for her clients.

She lives in Farmington with her husband and son and is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University in New Britain.

Westfarms is located at the intersection of Interstate 84 and Route 9 in both West Hartford and Farmington.
