Council Ratifies New Farmington Police Pact

New deal features pay increases over three years, as well as co-pay increases for union members on medical/prescription coverage.

FARMINGTON, CT — The town and Farmington Police Department have a new contract for unionized officers after the town council last month unanimously approved a new pact.

The Farmington Town Council voted 9-0 Dec. 13 to ratifying the new, three-year contract, which is for 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25.

The approved pact is between the Town of Farmington and the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge No. 331 union.

Among the contract details:

• 4 percent pay hikes in the first year; 3 percent pay raises in the second year; and 2.75 percent pay increases in year three.

• For 2022-23, union officers must pay for 21 percent of medical benefits (current rate); 22 percent in 2023-24; and 23 percent in the final year of the contract.

• General increases in prescription co-pays and medical services copays.
