Gas Station ATM Targeted In Farmington Break-In: FPD
Police said nothing was taken, but a gas station was damaged early Wednesday morning. Other stores in the area have been hit as well.

FARMINGTON, CT — Local police are searching for suspects connected to a botched burglary at a Farmington gas station that resulted in building damage, but no theft on Wednesday.
According to the Farmington Police Department, at about 2:07 a.m. Wednesday, law enforcers were called to the Farmington Valley Shell gas station at 860 Farmington Ave.
On Wednesday, WVIT Channel 30 reported similar incidents at a Bloomfield distillery, a Newington gas/station convenience store and a Sam's Store in Berlin, including footage of what appears to be a white Subaru fleeing the Berlin store.

Farmington police said a passing motorist reported an active burglary in process at the gas station, which was closed at the time.
According to the FPD, the suspects fled the scene in a white Subaru Outback prior to officers arriving.

The FPD said officers did discover a broken window in the front of the store, but further investigation revealed nothing was taken, though it appeared the suspects were trying to nab an ATM on site.
"The suspects were unsuccessful in accessing or removing the ATM," wrote the FPD in a statement released Thursday afternoon.
"Current information indicates that the white Subaru was involved with a spree of similarcrimes during the early morning hours throughout the greater Hartford region."
The case is being investigated by the Farmington PD's Detective Division and it is working with other local and state agencies as part of their investigation.
