Man, 65, Charged With Sexually Assaulting Dog In Farmington: Police

The New Britain man is an employee of a senior living facility in the town.

FARMINGTON, CT — A 65-year-old senior living complex employee from New Britain was charged by local police with sexually assaulting a dog inside one of the apartments.

According to the Farmington Police Department, Jose Ramos-Cordero, 65, of New Britain, was charged with sexual assault of an animal (sexual contact); third-degree burglary; and disorderly conduct at 1:50 p.m.

He was taken into custody Monday and was released on $10,000 bond, with a scheduled court appearance in Hartford Superior Court on Sept. 17.

The FPD said that earlier in the day Monday, the department received a complaint that surveillance video showed a maintenance worker at Brookdale Gables, a senior living facility in Farmington, inside a tenant's apartment while the tenant was away.

Police said the video showed the suspect on the floor, exposing himself and attempting to "engage with the tenant's dog in a sexual manner."
