Man Sentenced To Prison For Fatal Farmington Crash
The man was sentenced to prison in connection to the death of a 66-year-old grandmother in a crash last year in Farmington.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A West Hartford man was sentenced this week to five years in prison, suspended after serving three years, in connection to the death of a 66-year-old grandmother from Avon in a crash in Farmington last October, according to FOX 61.
FOX 61 reports Bennett Dunbar, 27, was also sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to complete 100 hours of community service along with mental health and substance abuse treatment. Janet Pulver was killed when her car was struck by Dunbar’s Volvo station wagon on Route 4 in Farmington on Oct. 20, 2016.
Dunbar was accused of driving between 60 to 80 mph and shifting lanes before the crash. Prosecutors said Dunbar, who suffers from ADHD, PTSD and depression, had fentanyl and marijuana in his system on the day of the crash, according to FOX 61.

Dunbar was originally charged with second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle and first-degree reckless endangerment, but worked out a plea arrangement and pleaded guilty to felony misconduct with a motor vehicle in September.
