Memorial Month Film and Storytelling Night in Farmington

Local Woman Hosts Evening in Honor of the Gary Sinise Foundation

During a season when remembrance calls us to pause and reflect, one Farmington resident is inviting the community to remember and bear witness.

On May 16th, Farmington will host a powerful and intimate gathering centered on film, storytelling, and shared human experience in honor of the Gary Sinise Foundation. This Memorial Month event promises to honor those who have served, and connect attendees with the enduring impact of their stories.

The event will take place at the Stadium XV Events Center, a fitting setting for a night designed to bring people together in reflection, conversation, and community.

The program will feature two compelling documentary films: The Ring and The Mountain, a deeply personal exploration of memory, legacy, and a daughter’s journey to know her Marine father through the voices of those who knew him, and The Last Ring Home, a moving account of service, sacrifice, and the extraordinary journey of a fallen Navy sailor’s ring. Together, these films remind us that while lives may end, stories endure.

Guest speaker Ryan Landry, a U.S. military combat veteran, retired police officer, author, and veteran advocate, brings more than two decades of continued service beyond the uniform. His message closely aligns with the mission of the Gary Sinise Foundation to honor our heroes, support their families, and ensure those who serve are never forgotten. His voice is a powerful reminder that while service may end, our commitment to those who served must never fade.
