Police: New Britain Bank Robbery Suspects May Have Been in Farmington
The suspects, who ultimately failed to get money may have been in Farmington Monday morning.

New Britain Police are seeking the suspects of a complex, but failed bank heist that occurred Monday in New Britain and Bristol.
Two male suspects, at least one is white and of medium build, entered the Lufkin Lane Bristol home of an Achieve Credit Financial Union employee in the overnight hours, according to police.
The suspects spoke fluent English, but had distinct accents not consistent with being native to Connecticut.

They may have been driving an older model white four-door Mazda, police said. They may have been in the area of Tunxis Mead and Route 10 in Farmington on Monday morning. Anyone who may have seen the vehicle or have surveillance equipment that could see the road is asked to contact police.
The employee was forced to wear what he believed was an explosive device and was ordered to the credit union in the morning hours, police said. He contacted the credit union branch and employees contacted police.

Police responded to the parking lot where the employee was located and police safely removed the device, which was turned over to the FBI for further analysis. He was treated for exposure due to being in a cold car for an extended period of time.
The victim’s mother was uninjured.
