Report: Store Owner Runs Off Lottery Tickets for Himself — and Runs Business into the Ground

His debt reached six figures, according to a report.

FARMINGTON, CT — A man has lost his convenience store after spending more than $1 million of the store's revenue on lottery tickets, according to a story in the Daily Mail.

At one point, the man, Adam Osmond, 49, of Farmington, ran off more than 54,000 tickets for himself, the story states.

Osmond, 49, said: "In the beginning my gambling was just a few dollars, but as time went by it got worse."

Once Osmond won $50,000 on a ticket, but that just motivated him to keep going, he told the Daily Mail.

Osmond has since stopped gambling and has turned to running. He's been involved in more than 200 road races and marathons.
