Two Injured After Crash In Farmington: Police
The accident closed down a busy section of Farmington roadway for several hours Sunday.
FARMINGTON, CT — Two people were rushed to the hospital Sunday morning after two cars collided on Scott Swamp Road in Farmington Sunday morning.
According to the Farmington Police Department, the crash was at about 3 a.m. Sunday, when officers responded to a two-car accident on Scott Swamp Road in the area of the Farmington Chase Crescent neighborhood.
Police said one of the drivers, a 48-year-old male, was trapped in his vehicle and required extrication by the Farmington Fire Department.

The driver sustained significant injuries to his legs and was transported by Life Star helicopter to Hartford Hospital, where he was in stable condition, police said.
According to the FPD, the driver of the second vehicle, a 22-year-old male, was transported by ambulance to the UConn Health Center with minor injuries.

The North Central Regional Accident Reconstruction Squad has been activated and is investigating the incident.
Scott Swamp Road (Route 6) was closed for several hours between Plainville Avenue (Route 177) and Camp Street.
