Woman Charged With DUI After Crashing Into Cruiser in Farmington
She admitted to drinking alcohol prior to driving and failed a field sobriety test, according to a police report.

FARMINGTON, CT — A Terryville woman was arrested Wednesday night after crashing her car into the rear of a state police cruiser that was assisting a construction vehicle on Interstate 84.
Alexandra Warzecho, 24, was charged with operating under the influence, use of drug paraphernalia, following too closely and failure to reduce speed or move over for an emergency vehicle. She was released on $2,500 bond, and is scheduled to appear Sept. 19 in Hartford Superior Court.
According to a state police report, around 9:37 p.m., the cruiser, with its emergency lights activated, was following a construction vehicle in the eastbound right lane of the highway just prior to exit 39A when it was struck from behind at a high rate of speed by a 2014 Acura ILX20, operated by Warzecho.

The Acura sustained heavy front end damage, while the cruiser had moderate rear end damage, according to the report.
The state trooper was transported to Hartford Hospital for medical evaluation. Warzecho refused medical treatment at the scene, police said.

Warzecho "admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving and performed poorly during the field sobriety testing," according to the report.
