He was issued a $20,000 non-surety bond, and is scheduled to appear in court in Manchester on March 4 at 9 a.m.
At 2:31 p.m. that day, police also arrested Michael Williams, 29, of Hartford, who police said had an active warrant for his arrest stemming from an investigation into a fraudulent check that began last fall.
On Oct. 8, 2021, Glastonbury police responded to a report that a man was attempting to cash a fraudulent check at Webster Bank (1009 Hebron Ave.).
Though one man was arrested at the scene, officers said an accomplice — later identified as Williams — fled from police in a vehicle and didn't obey officers' signals to stop.
Williams was charged with disobeying an officer's signal, illegally operating a motor vehicle while under suspension, sixth-degree larceny, sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, third-degree forgery, third-degree conspiracy to commit forgery, and traffic control signals, police said.
After his arrest, Williams was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond. He has a court date scheduled in Manchester for March 4.
