2 Charged In Glastonbury Check Cashing Scheme: Cops
Two people have been arrested after an attempt to illegally cash a check in Glastonbury.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Two people have been implicated in an attempt to illegally cash a check for $3,000 at a bank branch in Glastonbury
According to arrest reports, on May 20, Glastonbury Police responded to the Liberty Bank branch at 64 Oak St. after receiving a complaint about the check.
Officers located 22-year-old Natalie Ann Carroll, of Colchester, in the bank lobby and determined Carroll and an accomplice came to the bank to cash a fraudulent check, according to arrest reports.

The accomplice, identified as 22-year-old Douglas MacArthur Southerland, of East Hartford, was located waiting in a car in the bank parking lot, police said.
Carroll was charged with second-degree forgery with a related conspiracy and criminal attempt at third-degree larceny with a related conspiracy.

Southerland was charged with second-degree forgery with a related conspiracy and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny.
Both posted $30,000 bonds and are due in court on June 17, records show.
