Caregiver Held On High Bond In Glastonbury Disabled Forgery Case

GLASTONBURY, CT — A caregiver is being held on a six-figure bond amid a Glastonbury investigation into a disabled person getting ripped off.

A Glastonbury Police Department arrest report indicates that Phillianne Barnett, 45, whose listed address is in Queens Village, NY, has been charged with first-degree identity theft and second-degree larceny involving disabled person.

Police said an investigation found that she forged several checks from a client in her care.

Barnett was arraigned in Manchester Superior Court last week and this week and a judge upheld here original $125,000 bond, which she failed to post, according to judicial system records.

Barnett remained in custody Thursday and is scheduled to return to court on Jan. 24, records show.
