Assumption College, Worcester MA
- Assumption College has announced that 36 students have received a prestigious Light the Way Scholarship, awarded to incoming students who utilize their abilities to help others or make a meaningful difference in the world. Erin Beckwith of Glastonbury, Class of 2023, was recognized for her dedication and volunteerism to serving the hard of hearing. Beckwith has volunteered at Soundbridge, a school for the hard of hearing, and is focusing her studies on speech language pathology to pursue a career as an auditory verbal therapist for children who are hard of hearing. Bryce Henry of Glastonbury, Class of 2023, was recognized for his volunteer work with animals. Henry displayed leadership in his various community service endeavors, including caring for more than 50 animals at the Lutz Children's Museum, and as a 4-H dog trainer.
Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

- Nearly 100 students are participating in Eastern Connecticut State University's highly selective University Honors Program this 2019-20 academic year. Of these students is Evelyn Senna of Glastonbury, who majors in Psychology. This is Senna's third year in the program. The Honors Program accepts highly motivated and academically driven students. When accepted into the program, students are required to complete several additional classes, including a capstone course in which students complete a thesis based around their academic major.
Goodwin College, East Hartford CT
- Goodwin College's President's List for the summer 2019 session includes 230 students, all of whom scored a perfect 4.0 GPA. Honorees from Glastonbury are Alexandra Esposito, Jonathan Palochko and Kimberly Weintraub.

- This summer, Hannah Stetson of Glastonbury was one of more than 400 UD undergraduate students who worked on a range of research projects in disciplines all across the university as well as in the community. Over the 10-week period, the students collaborated with their faculty mentors and, in many cases, with other undergraduates and with graduate students, learning how original research takes place and creating new knowledge themselves.
