FREE Movie Nights In Glastonbury

Bring your lawn chair or blanket and a picnic dinner and enjoy a free movie on the lawn behind the Riverfront Community Center. Reservations not required.

  • Wednesday, September 15, 2021: E.T. Presented by the Tierney Family of Glastonbury, Clear River Fuel Oil and Glastonbury Parks and Recreation. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. Movie begins at 7:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, September 21, 2021: Despicable Me Presented by the Tierney Family of Glastonbury, Gbury2Go and Glastonbury Parks and Recreation. Gates open at 5:45p.m. Movie begins at 6:45 p.m.
  • Wednesday, September 29, 2021: Diary of a Wimpy Kid Presented by the Tierney Family of Glastonbury, Kaman Air Vehicles and Glastonbury Parks and Recreation. Gates open at 5:45p.m. Movie begins at 6:45 p.m.

Passport to Health Fair In Glastonbury
Join us for the Passport to Health Fair at the Riverfront Community Center on Wednesday, September 22nd! Times are 2:00-4:00 p.m. or 5:00-7:00 p.m. The event will feature vendors, health & wellness demonstrations, presentations a raffle and fun for the whole family!

The event will also feature the "Hidden in Plain Sight" educational experience that walks you through a typical teenage bedroom. The inside of the bedroom is set up with drug paraphernalia "Hidden in Plain Sight." This is an interactive display/program that offers adults insights into current trends in youth substance abuse, drug paraphernalia, concealment of illicit drugs & alcohol. Volunteers educate community members about drug trends, paraphernalia, how to talk to youth about alcohol & drugs, and what to do if a problem is suspected.

Town and Community Tag Sale

The Glastonbury Town Wide Tag Sale will be held on Saturday, September 25th (Raindate: Sunday, September 26th) from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. behind the Academy Building in Glastonbury, CT. The Town Wide Tag Sale gives buyers the opportunity to go to one place and spend the day visiting multiple tag sales! For sellers, it's a way to have a concentration of sales at one convenient destination, especially if having a tag sale at your home is not feasible.
