Drug Drop Box Now at Glastonbury Police Department

The box at the GPD is available 24 hours for unused and expired household medications.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A prescription medication drop-box is now available 24 hours a day, seven days a week in the main lobby of the Glastonbury Police Department, town officials said. It is designed to be a safe disposal location for citizens to properly dispose of unused and expired household medications, officials said.

Townspeople can place unwanted and expired medications into the box, excluding syringes, epi-pens, inhalers, and items containing mercury, officials said.

Police said that, before disposing of any items, containers for liquids should be securely closed.
