DUI Stop In Glastonbury Turns Into Gun Charges For Manchester Pair
Police found a gun in a car during a traffic stop in Glastonbury.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A traffic stop in Glastonbury led to gun charges for two Manchester residents.
The traffic stop took place at 1:49 a.m. on May 5 near the Keeney Street and Hebron Avenue intersection, police said.
The driver, 34-year-old Manchester resident David Nieves, was pulled over on suspicion of drunken driving and subsequently charged with driving under the influence, according to an arrest report.

A firearm was also discovered in the car and he was charged with illegal possession in a motor vehicle, interfering with police and criminal possession of a pistol, according to an arrest report. He posted at $150,000 bond and is due in court on June 2.
A passenger in the vehicle, 33-year-old Rubi Gonzalez, of Manchester, was charged with improper storage of a pistol in a motor vehicle. She posted a $10,000 bond and is also due in court on June 2, records show.
