GLASTONBURY, CT — Gas pipeline work could cause some traffic delays in Glastonbury next month.

Town officials said that Algonquin Gas Transmission plans to perform routine maintenance work along a segment of its pipeline off (to the east of) Thompson Street.

The project is expected to start on July 8, and last approximately three weeks, officials said.

During the work, travel on Thompson Street near the intersection with Chimney Sweep Hill Road may experience periodic short delays during normal work hours of 7 a.m. to 5. p.m. Monday through Saturday, officials said.

The delays will take place primarily at the commencement and conclusion of the work each day, officials said.

Officials sad the work will not interrupt any utility services for area residents.
