GHS Senior Receives $2,000 Cox Scholarship
Stephen Sapinski is headed to Clarkson University in the fall.

With graduation just days away, Glastonbury High School senior Stephen Sapinski was recently awarded a $2,000 scholarship from Cox Communications.
Sapinski was one of eight Connecticut recipients, with an additional 11 awarded across Rhode Island and in Ceveland, Ohio.
"This year, we are proud to recognize eight remarkable students who excel in academics and serve their communities," John Wolf, senior vice president and general manager of Cox Communications, said in a press release.
Sapinski plans to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering from Clarkson University.
Scholarship recipients are chosen based on academic achievement, community service and interest in pursuing a career in the communications, telecommunications, technology or engineering fields, the release said.
Sapinski was chosen from over 90 applications this year.
