Glastonbury Chamber Hosting Apple Pie Bake-Off at Oct. Festival
The Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce is once again hosting an apple pie bake-off at the 38th Annual Apple Harvest Festival in October.

Do you have a great apple pie recipe? The 38th Annual Harvest Festival will give you the opportunity to put your pie where your mouth is with an apple pie bake-off sponsored by the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber is once again sponsoring the bake-off, which has both home baker and professional bakery categories. The pies will be given 40 points for flavor, 25 points for crust, 25 points for texture, and 10 points for overall appearance. First-through-third place ribbons and certificates will be given to the winners of each category.

Interested bakers can register by calling the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce at (860)659-3587; the registration deadline is Oct. 10. Pies must be submitted between 10-11 a.m. on Oct. 14 at the tent to the left of the main stage at the Apple Harvest Festival, which is taking place at 300 Welles St.
