The chain restaurant, known for its burgers, fries and shelled peanuts, is hoping to renovate the abandoned Friendly's building at 2944 Main St. Five Guys is known for moving into and refurbishing old restaurant buildings. The 2,578-square-foot restaurant would include indoor seating, as well as outdoor patio seating. The Glastonbury restaurant would be the sixth location for the company east of the Connecticut River.
