GLASTONBURY, CT — The Glastonbury Town Council has scheduled a special workshop for Wednesday, Jan. 21, to review and discuss the town's proposed Capital Improvement Program, a long-range plan that outlines major infrastructure and facility investments.

The workshop is on tap for 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Riverfront Community Center, Community Room B, at 300 Welles St., and will also be accessible remotely via Zoom.

Town officials are expected to present the annual Capital Improvement Program budget, which typically spans multiple years and covers large-scale projects such as public buildings, roads, parks and municipal equipment. The meeting is intended for discussion and review rather than formal votes, and no final decisions are anticipated during the workshop.

The council's review marks an early step in the budget process, allowing council members to ask questions, raise concerns and provide feedback before the proposed capital plan advances to later stages of consideration.

Public participation will be permitted during a designated comment period. Residents attending in person may comment live, while those participating remotely may submit comments electronically in advance or request to speak during the meeting through Zoom’s “raise hand” feature. Speakers will be required to state their name and address, and comments will be limited to three minutes per person.
