Glastonbury Has A New Online Permitting System For Contractors And Residents

Electronic payments cannot be accepted through the new portal at this time, but officials hope this function will be added soon.

The Town has implemented a new program for all Permits from the Building Department and Engineering Division as of June 30, 2020 called Municity. The online portal for this program called City Squared is now available for contractors and residents to apply for permits which can be found at https://www.citysquared.com/#/app/map/GlastonburyTownCT.

Please note that staff from both the Town Building Department and Engineering Division are actively working with the software company to resolve various issues with the configuration of this software. Some delay in processing permits should be expected and your patience as we go through this significant transition is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately electronic payments cannot be accepted through the new permitting system at this time. This functionality will be coming soon but is not currently available. As such applicants should mail a check to Glastonbury Town Hall, 2155 Main Street PO Box 6523 Glastonbury CT, 06033-6523 to the Attention of the Building Department or Engineering Division as applicable for the permit being sought.
