Glastonbury High School Hires New Assistant Principal
The school district has chosen one of its own teachers, Bobby Skarvelas, to take over after the recent departure of Andrew DiPippo.

Glastonbury High School has a new assistant principal, and he's a familiar face to those in the building.
According to The Hartford Courant, Superintendent Alan Bookman has chosen social studies teacher Bobby Skarvelas to take over as assistant principal, a job he will assume come July 1. A total of 118 candidates applied for the job to lead the 2,100-student school, the newspaper reported.
Skarvelas replaces Andrew F. DiPippo, the former assistant principal who took a job as the principal of Canton High School back in April.
Skarvelas will join several other administrators in the building including Principal Nancy Bean and assistant principals Mary Abrhams, Keats Jarmon and Thomas Neagle.
