Glastonbury Rep Hits $250K in Gubernatorial Fundraising
The mark is a key element toward securing a grant.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A familiar face in town has become the leader in the clubhouse when it comes to Republicans raising funds for a run at governor in 2018.
State Rep. Dr. Prasad Srinivasan of Glastonbury has passed the $250,000 mark, WTNH reported.
That figure marks a milestone because it qualifies him for a citizen’s election program grant.

Srinivasan is an allergist with a practice in Glastonbury.
Last November, he was was elected to his fourth term to the 31st District seat in the state House of Representatives.

He is a member the ranking member of the General Assembly’s Public Health Committee and also sits on the Environment and Judiciary committees.
According to Srinivasan’s campaign, he is the first candidate to reach the $250,000 mark.
