Indoor rock climbing is coming to Glastonbury.
Central Rock Climbing Centers, based in Worcester, has announced that it will open a new center in Glastonbury in March. Located at 259 Eastern Boulevard, a mile off Route 2, the new center will be the fourth for the chain and the first outside of Massachusetts.

The 30,000-square-foot facility—about the size of a football field—will feature:
- 25,000 square feet of climbing walls
- 8,000 square feet of bouldering
- 40-foot ceilings
- 120 top rope stations
- A slackline area
- A large yoga room
- Exercise equipment and weights
- Function rooms
- Shower and locker rooms
According to the Central Rock website, a day pass costs $16 for adults and $12 for seniors, students and children under 12. Monthly gym memberships and daily specials, including early bird discounts, are available.

The gym will offer rock climbing and yoga instruction and special programs ranging from birthday parties to summer camps.
