Glastonbury Smoke And Vape Shop Raided Following Investigation Into Illegal THC Sales To Minors
Authorities confiscated more than 6 pounds of THC products after an investigation into sales at a local smoke and vape shop.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Authorities last week raided a smoke and vape shop in Glastonbury accused of selling illegal THS products to a parade of high school-aged students and two proprietors were arrested, local police said.
According to an arrest report, on Jan. 15, an anonymous complaint was received through the Glastonbury Police Department's online tip line regarding Bro Vaper Smoke Shop, located at 229 Hebron Ave.
The complainant told police that the establishment was actively promoting the sale of "illegal" THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) products to customers, according to an arrest report.

The message also mentioned "a concerning pattern of individuals," believed to be of high school age, frequently entering and exiting the establishment, according to an arrest report.
Between January and February of this year, the East Central Narcotics Task Force conducted several undercover controlled purchase operations and, during the operations, undercover police officers purchased illegal THC products containing concentration levels greater than 0.3 percent, as well as cannabis in pre-rolled cigarettes and marijuana flower, according to an arrest report.

On March 11, members of the task force, along with Glastonbury police and the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, executed a search and seizure warrant at Bro Vaper.
According to an arrest report, the raid resulted in the seizure of:
- 180 THC units, consisting of 50 units of marijuana flower
- 116 units of concentrates/vapes
- 14 units of edibles, totaling approximately 6.0006 pounds (2.7275 kg) of THC
As a result, Kassim A. Haroon and Sedeq Alshatebi were charged with:
- The use of drug paraphernalia
- The sale of 1 kilogram or more of cannabis
- Operating of a drug factory
In addition, police said, Alshatebi was processed on three active GPD arrest warrants related to the sale of cannabis.
