Glastonbury's Mascena Named Town Clerk Of The Year

GLASTONBURY, CT — Joyce Mascena, Glastonbury's town clerk, was recently selected by the Connecticut Town Clerks Association as the 2019 Town Clerk of the Year.

Mascena received this award in recognition of her "demonstrated commitment to the community, active involvement in the association and its programs, and her efforts to implement process improvements and new technology within the local government."

Her nomination stated that she has been an "indispensable resource for the CTCA for nearly two decades. She was the leading force with bringing e-recording to the State of Connecticut and is a constant resource for advice and guidance for new and experienced town clerks."

Mascena has been the town clerk in Glastonbury since 2003.
