Glastonbury's Plan to Purchase MDC Land All About Funding Timetable: Town Manager
The town manager outlined a closing target on Tuesday.

GLASTONBURY, CT — The town manager told the Glastonbury Town Council on Tuesday that a target to complete a purchase 719 acres of Metropolitan District Commission land is early 2017, the Hartford Courant reported.
The price tag is $15 million, according to town records.
The State Bond Commission last month released $1 million. The town plans on using $2.3 million from its land acquisition fund and $2.7 million from a general fund surplus account, town records indicate.

The Courant reported that the earliest the $9 million balance can be discussed is a late-2016 State Bond Commission meeting.
