Motorists using Bell Street in Glastonbury are hereby advised of the upcoming closure of Bell Street for utility construction related to the Stallion Ridge Subdivision project beginning the week of October 25th. This closure will affect a 2,000 foot long section of Bell Street between the north end of Somerset Road and the new subdivision roadway called Stallion Drive.

The road closure will be in effect during normal working hours and will include a signed detour utilizing Hebron Avenue, Keeney Street, and Bush Hill Road in Manchester. Local access to all properties within the work area will be maintained during construction however residents should expect to experience some delay.

The utility work is expected to take approximately 3 to 4 weeks. Questions can be directed the Town of Glastonbury Engineering Division at 860-652-7735.


COVID-19 Updates

Information via Glastonbury officials

As per CT Department of Public Health (CT DPH) lab testing data available 10/16/21:
 27,487 residents have been tested for COVID-19 (+216)
 Of the 27,487 residents tested, 2,642 (+18) have laboratory confirmed positive and probable cases of COVID-19
 Deaths are recorded using information from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. No new
deaths have been recorded, leaving the loss of Glastonbury residents at 106 people (+0).
 By gender, a total of 1,366 female (+7) and 1,276 male (+11) positive cases have been reported.

Average of fully vaccinated Glastonbury residents (12 years of age and over): 86.83 percent.

Glastonbury is currently shown in yellow zone at 8.7 reported cases per 100,000 (-1.7). Glastonbury’s mask requirement was discontinued October 1. The mask requirement remains in place for Town buildings including Town Hall, Library, Riverfront Community Center and others.
