Man Remains In Custody After Arson Charge In Glastonbury

GLASTONBURY, CT — A 39-year-old Glastonbury man remained in custody this week in connection with an arson incident last week, judicial system records show.

The incident took place at 9:15 p.m. on July 13, according to an arrest report.

When officers arrived at the Oakwood Drive residence, they discovered that a small fire had been set on top of a stove during a domestic squabble, according to an arrest report.

The fire was extinguished prior to arrival, but Adalberto Maldonado was taken into custody and charged with third-degree arson, according to an arrest report. The charge is a felony in Connecticut.

He was also charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, according to an arrest report.

Maldonado was arraigned in Manchester Superior Court on July 15 and his initial $100,000 bond was reduced to $25,000, which he did not post, records show. He is due back in court on Aug. 16, according to judicial system records.
