Man Snagged With Fake Credentials In Check-Cashing Incident In Glastonbury: Police
A man is facing a felony forgery charge after an incident at a bank in Glastonbury, police said.
GLASTONBURY, CT — A man is facing a felony forgery charge after being caught with fake credentials at a bank in Glastonbury, a police report indicates.
On Feb. 12, Glastonbury Police served a warrant to the 49-year-old that charged him with conspiracy to commit second-degree forgery and conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny, according to an arrest report.
The warrant was obtained following the completion of a fraud investigation that began in December 2025, after M&T Bank reported an attempted fraudulent transaction at its 40 Welles St. branch, according to an arrest report.

The man is scheduled to appear atManchester Superior Court on March 12, records show.
Conspiracy to commit second-degree forgery is defined in Connecticut two or more people agreeing to falsely make, alter, or possess a fraudulent document such as a deed, a will, a public record — or making a fake ID — with the intent to defraud or deceive. It is a class D felony, punishable by up to five years in prison, up to $5,000 in fines, and probation.
