GLASTONBURY, CT — A Manchester Man is accused of trying to pass fake money at a Glastonbury supermarket, police said.

Dezmond Bonds, 31, has been charged on a warrant with with first-degree forgery, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

The warrant was served by Glastonbury Police on Feb, 23 while Bonds was is in custody in Manchester Superior Court for another matter, according to an arrest report.

The warrant stemmed from an Aug. 23 trip to a Stop & Shop supermarket in Glastonbury, during which Bonds attempted to use counterfeit money to purchase gift cards, according to an arrest report.
