Paving Project Set To Begin On Route 160 In Glastonbury
A short state road that leads to the Connecticut River is due for resurfacing.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A paving project on state Route 160 in Glastonbury is set to begin Friday.
That was the word this week from the Connecticut Department of Transportation. The project consists of milling on Route 160 from the banks of the Connecticut River to Route 17, which is Main Street locally.
It's officially Project DOT01710506CN and stretches for 1.27 miles.

Here is the schedule:
- Milling by Rafferty Fine Grading is set for Friday, June 7 to Tuesday, June 11
- Resurfacing by Tilcon is anticipated to begin on Wednesday, June 12 and run to Monday, June 17

- Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 160 in Glastonbury from the Connecticut River to Route 17 (Main Street). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for the project is Friday, June 7 to Monday, June 17 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in the area.
