Police Dog Sniffs Out Drug Stash In Glastonbury Hotel Parking Lot
Chalk up another arrest for Glastonbury police dog Soleil.

GLASTONBURY, CT — What started as a welfare check at a local hotel parking lot turned into a police dog locating a stash of drugs, Glastonbury police said.
Authorities released details of the July 20 incident this week.
At 2:40 p.m. That day, officers were summoned to the parking lot of a hotel on Glastonbury Boulevard. When approaching a vehicle, police dog Soleil alerted his handler, Neal Cavanuagh, to the presence of drugs and the occupant, identified as 44-year-old Annie Plourde of Glastonbury, was taken into custody.

She was charged with:
- The use of drug paraphernalia
- Operating a drug factory
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Possession of narcotics with the intent to sell
She was also charged with registration, insurance and license violations, according to an arrest report.

Plourde is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court after posting a $100,000 bond, police said.
